If you are planning a trip to Disney World with young children you absolutely need to bring a stroller on your trip. If you have multiple children under the age of six I highly recommend a double stroller.
A Disney World vacation is a lot of walking: expect five to ten miles a day. Most kids are not going to be able to keep up with that amount of walking. Even if your kids don’t sit in the stroller all day, it will be a great way to hold drinks, park bags, jackets, or souvenirs.
Disney World Stroller Policies
If you are planning to bring a stroller to Disney World you should be familiar with their stroller policies. The most important thing to be aware of with a double stroller is the size. Strollers must be no longer than 52″ and no wider than 31″. No wagons are permitted in Disney World. Another important rule is that strollers are not allowed on escalators. And children must be removed from stroller on parking lot trams and buses. To learn more about Disney World Stroller Policies visit their website.
Why Bring your own Double Stroller?
While you are able to rent strollers from multiple places in Orlando and even in the parks, we like to bring our own. We use our stroller very frequently at home, especially in preparation for Disney. We like that our girls are very comfortable with the stroller and used to sitting in it for long periods. The strollers that Disney rents are very bulky and your children may find them to be uncomfortable. These would not work well for smaller babies, whereas many double strollers have attachments for infant carriers or bassinets.
When renting a stroller from the parks you will be paying $27/day for a double stroller, only for use inside the parks. There are also companies in Orlando that have double strollers available for rent. Again, with these you will be paying a daily fee in order to use these.
The Best Double Stroller for Disney World
When we were pregnant with our second daughter, we started researching double strollers. We love to go on long walks as a family. I did a lot of research to try and find the best double stroller based on features as well as price. When I came across the Contours Options Elite V2, I was sold. I loved all the features as well as the way it looks. The price was much better than most double strollers I have seen.

Stroller Features and Price
There are several Contours strollers that you can choose from varying in price as well as features. The Contours Options Elite V2 sells for $499, which is on the low to middle end for this brand. You can also often find coupons or sales and get it a little cheaper.
The Seats
There are so many things we love about this stroller. The first is the seats, there are several different seating arrangements. Both the front and back seat can face either direction so you can use any combination. If you have a younger baby you can get a car seat adapter and use a carseat and regular seat for your toddler.
The seats also have large attached sunshades with UPF 50+ and peek-a-boo windows so you can check in on your little one. Another feature our toddler likes us to adjust often is the footrest so it can be in a more relaxed position.
Storage and Other Features
If you are anything like us you will have a lot of things to carry around with you. This is where the large under-seat storage is helpful. We are able to put so many things in there and not use up any of the leg room for our girls while still having easy access.
Lastly, the adjustable handle that makes it easy for anyone to push. Sometimes it’s nice to change positions throughout the day. If your arms get tired of one way you can switch it up. Our toddler also loves to help push and the lowest handle setting allows her to do that.
Something to note is that in certain seating configurations the stroller measures 55″, however, we never had any issues.
What we love about the Stroller
There are so many reasons why we love this stroller (especially for Disney World). The first, it is extremely easy to fold. You don’t even have to remove the seats before folding like some double strollers. When in the folded position, it is able to stand by itself which makes Disney bus rides a little less complicated. As I said before, there are so many different seating arrangements. Our girls love this feature because they are able to face each other and play but they are also able to have a nice relaxing nap when we lay the seats back. On the other hand, they can face away from each other in the event of an argument. There are snack pockets on the inside of each seat as well as ample storage under each seat. Most importantly, it is very easy to steer and push the stroller.
In Summary
I hope I’ve convinced you of why this is the best double stroller for Disney World. There are so many options available and it can be overwhelming to choose one and know that it’s the best for your family. I definitely think this could be the best stroller for so many families.
