Your Toddlers Will Love These Disney DVC Resorts!

If you plan on taking your baby or toddler on your next trip to Walt Disney World, a DVC villa can have a lot of advantages compared to a regular hotel room. Additional space, in-room laundry, full kitchens, dining tables, and separate bath tubs are among their unique toddler-friendly features. The resorts themselves also tend to be toddler-friendly, with convenient locations, multiple transportation options, on-site dining options, and more.

Buying into DVC while your children are young is a great way to guarantee years of memories for your family. It is an investment that, while expensive up front, can help your family enjoy accommodations that might not be in your budget otherwise. Our girls are both under four years old and we have been lucky enough to take them on multiple trips where we stayed in hotels that we would never have dreamed of paying for in cash. Whether you purchase DVC or choose to rent points, these are the best villas to check out if you have toddlers.

DVC Resort #1: Riviera

There’s a lot to love about this one. Riviera has convenient (and stroller friendly!) transportation to two of the parks via the Slyliners. We have found this to be the best way to get around Disney World with toddlers. Riviera also has a compact layout, meaning that nothing is ever too far away. The gift shop, multiple restaurants, the lobby, the pool, and transportation stops are all within a few minutes of each other.

Riviera also has one of the hottest new restaurants at Walt Disney World – Topolino’s Terrace. This is especially great for toddlers during breakfast where they can enjoy Mickey waffles while visiting with Mickey himself! For breakfast only, this restaurant serves as a character dining experience where you can meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy. The food is top notch, views are stunning, and the characters are fun as always.

DVC Resort #2: Old Key West

This one might not be an obvious choice for parents with little ones, but you may want to take a second look. Firstly, the rooms are very large. There’s no such thing as too much space when you’ve got a toddler filled with sugar and excitement! The space is also great for storing luggage, strollers, pack-n-plays, and anything else that comes along with a toddler on a vacation.

This is also a great resort to “reset” from the parks. Your toddler will get so much stimulation at Disney World, so why not choose a hotel where you can relax and unwind?

Old Key West also has convenient boat transportation to Disney Springs by way of the DVC Ferry. Disney Springs can be a great way to entertain your toddler on a non-park day. You can also find most of the same merchandise that is in the park. This means that you’ll be able to go and get that special stuffed animal that your toddler won’t stop going on about!

DVC Resort #3: Beach Club

Beach Club is a fan favorite DVC resort – especially among Beach Club owners. It is easy to see why. The pool is pretty much a mini water park including sand-bottomed sections, a lazy river, and a large slide. There is also easy access to EPCOT… a five minute walk and you are in the park! You can quickly get to Hollywood Studios or any of the hotels on the Skyler route by taking the nearby Skyliner.

Another perk of staying at this hotel is the walking access to Boardwalk. There you will find all sorts of dining, shopping, and entertainment for the family to enjoy. We love sitting out with some ice cream or a slice of pizza while the sun is setting. The Boardwalk slowly morphs as lights come on, street performers come out, and the air gets cool. It is one of our favorite things to experience at any Disney hotel!

Final Thoughts

We think these are three of the absolute best DVC resorts where you can bring your toddler. Don’t forget that you can also visit any of these resorts to dine at their restaurants, walk the grounds, or even take a DVC tour. There are also more DVC resorts that could be great for toddlers – really any of them! We are partial to Animal Kingdom Lodge, but the distance from parks could be a deal breaker for some parents.
