How to Make Blue Milk from Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge

Introduction

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is one of the most exotic and unique lands in any theme park. You are transported into a different world where nothing is familiar. The food is otherworldly, the rides are exciting, and the milk is… blue? That’s right, stop by the Milk Stand and you’ll be able to try Batuu’s own Blue Milk and Green Milk.

What is Blue Milk?

Okay, technically it isn’t milk. There is no lactose (or any other animal products) involved here. It is actually more like a tropical coconut slushy that is most similar to a Piña Colada. Many guests find themselves craving a Green or Blue Milk after their trip. We crafted the recipe below so that you can make your own at home with just a few some simple ingredients!

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Recipe:

  • 1 Cup Pineapple Juice
  • 1/2 Cup Rice Milk
  • 3/4 Cup Canned Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Passion Fruit Juice Cocktail
  • 1 Tablespoon Lime Juice
  • 4 Drops Blue Gel Food Coloring
  • 4 Cups Ice

Instructions:

  1. Shake can of Coconut Milk well before using. Add all liquids and food coloring to blender. Mix Well.
  2. Add Ice 1 cup at a time and mix until well blended. Enjoy on a nice summer day or to go with your Ronto Wrap. We liked making Blue and Green Milk at the same time and comparing the two. Which is your favorite?

How Did we Do with Blue Milk?

This is one of our favorite sweet treats in Disney World. It’s sweet enough to be a treat but it’s also refreshing and cooling on a hot Disney day. Our version was not quite as smooth as what you can get in Galaxy’s Edge but flavor wise it puts you right back in Batuu.

Though we haven’t tried it, I think you could fix the consistency issue with an ice cream maker or one of the new Ninja Creami’s.
